The Tribe's Newsletter should not be used to promote the Chair or any other Tribal Council Representative.
The Tribe's Newsletter should be used to talk about culture, history, and to honor other Ponca members with outstanding achievements. The Chirwoman chooses what goes in the Newsletter, and she should not have her own corner. Her information is online on the Ponca website if anyone wants to talk with her to hear more about her accomplishments.

Chairwoman Candace Schmidt Used the Newsletter to try to discredit the recall against her. This is abuse of Power and misuse of Tribal Resources.
The Tribal Newsletter should not be used by any Tribal Council rep to campaign for elections or to try to fight the Ponca people who are attempting to recall them. Recalls should be fought on their own dime, just like the recalls were sent out from individual Ponca member's resources and funds. My concern is not with remembering our past. My concern is with whether we are building our future. As the Ponca

But a museum can also become a very expensive building that absorbs resources that could be allocated to more urgent needs of the Ponca Tribe of Nebraska. The issue is not whether Ponca history matters. It does. The issue is whether this kind of project, at this scale, is the best use
